This was my first longer form video project and the process involved a ton of learning about lighting, filming and editing techniques. After taking dance classes from Patricia for a couple years I knew that she would be a perfect storyteller for this project. I conducted a two camera interview with her and arranged several consecutive visits; filming her again 4 more times. I got to see firsthand how impactful her philosophy has been on her students, shooting her classes and performances several times. We also had a sunset shoot at Patricia's favorite park, which elicited a perfect combo of dreamy sunset lighting and Patricia's dance style outside of the studio. To this day, this is one of the projects I'm most proud of and I'm forever grateful to Patricia for letting me capture her story.
